Flowers on a String

COLOR! A friend suggested I draw one out for her using color...I haven't done much with color and ink lately so I gave it a try last night. I passed out before I could finish.

Drawing in July

Happy August 2nd! I am super happy to say that my scanner is now fully functioning with my new lap top, Hooray!! In celebration I want to share some of what I drew during July. I have spent many hours outdoors watching the flowers for inspiration this last month and this is what has come of it. Thank you Mother Earth for your inspiration.
Please Enjoy. I welcome feedback/comments.

The Descent

For my mother. Because she called me today and told me to begin preparing for her death. Scary thought, only she's been reminding me that she will one day die for lots and lots of years. Despite the lack of shock in that statement on my part, it is still a depressing thought. I love you mom. And, the day you die will be the saddest day of my life.

I plan on transferring it over onto a canvas and adding color soon.
